Dairy Free Fruit Dip can be whipped together with just 3 ingredients and 5 minutes of prep time.
This creamy, dairy free dip that's so good you'll want to lick the spoon. Come to think of it, this would be a good "frosting" to add to our Smore's Dessert Pizza or big Fruit Cookies!
This is the perfect snack to make to get your kids and family to eat more fresh fruit.
Simple Ingredients
- chilled coconut milk- check out our favorite brand for all of our baking and cooking recipes. Any brand of coconut milk should work though.
- Raw Honey- use local to you honey
- Vanilla extract- make your own or buy some. We like to make our own so we never run out
How to Make Fruit Dip
Make sure your can of coconut milk is nice and chilled. Open the can, scoop out the cream and toss it in a mixing bowl.
Add the honey and vanilla extract to the coconut cream and us an electric mixer to mix together until smooth and soft.
Refrigerate dip if not serving right away.
When ready, remove dip from the fridge, give it a good stir and serve with fresh fruit.
Storage
Keep the dip in the fridge if you aren't actively serving it. Leftover creamy dip should be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a week. You can freeze this leftover dip too.
Keep it in a freezer safe container for up to 2 months.
Variations
- Instead of using raw honey, you can use 100% pure maple syrup.
- Make this dairy-free fruit dip even creamier and sweet by adding some dairy free cream cheese or marshmallow fluff.
- Add some dairy-free yogurt to your dip if desired.
- Top with shredded coconut for a bit of added texture.
Sweet Fruit Dip Pro Tip:
- You can mix this together by hand, using an electric mixer, or even a stand mixer.
Scale the recipe
You can double, triple, or even quadruple this delicious fruit dip recipe if you are serving a large crowd. Make sure your mixing bowl is large enough to hold all of your sweet dip, or work in batches.
Toss your can of coconut milk in the fridge for at least 4 hours to get the cream and water to separate.
In order to reduce food waste, you can use the leftover coconut water from the can to make smoothies, milkshakes, or other fun dairy free desserts.
Whip up a fruit platter with all your favorite fruits on a snack board. Try adding:
- grapes
- pineapple
- watermelon
- strawberries
- blueberries
- raspberries
- apple slices
- peaches
Some of our favorite ways to serve this other than with fresh fruit is on some gluten free graham crackers, spread out on Fruit Pizza Cookies or on a S'mores Dessert Pizza.
You can drizzle some of this dip thinned out on some Cherry Pie Bars, over top a serving of Blueberry Crisp or used as frosting on Apple Pie Pops.
Fruit dip goes great with fresh fruit and whatever else you're serving. It would be great with Apple and Walnut Pinwheels, French Dip Sandwiches, or along with some French Toast Sticks for breakfast.
