  • Gluten Free Pasta Noodles - we used Jovial Farfalle since they're certified gluten free, kosher, organic and more. They're made from 2 ingredients- brown rice flour and water. You can use other brands, but this is one of our favorites for this recipe as the pasta holds up nicely.
  • Olive Oil
  • Dairy Free Parmesan Cheese- Follow your heart parm shreds is what we used but you can use any dairy free parm that you prefer.
  • Italian Seasoning - always check that yours is gluten free
  • Salt- we like kosher or sea salt
  • Marinara Sauce - Rao's is the brand we use. It's made with only whole ingredients, no additives or other junk in it and we like that!

Recipe Variations

Pasta Shapes: You can use any type of pasta that you have on hand, but we've found that flat or round pasta like bowtie pasta or penne pasta works best.

Seasonings: Feel free to be creative with the seasonings some great options are: garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, or even cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.

Cheese: Not a fan of dairy free parmesan cheese? Use nutritional yeast to still get that cheese flavor without actually using cheese.

 FAQ

Can you cook dried pasta in an air fryer?

No, you can't put uncooked pasta in the air fryer, you will need to cook and drain the pasta first.

Why don't my chips go crispy in the air fryer?

If your chips aren't getting crispy that means that you either overcrowded the air fryer basket, didn't coat them enough in the oil, or they need to cook longer. Try removing some from the air fryer and cooking the rest for a few more minutes.

Should you serve air fryer chips warm or at room temperature?

We like them the best when they are warm, but you can also serve them at room temperature.

Can I bake these in the oven instead?

Yes, just place them on a parchment lined baking sheet in the oven at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes or until they are crunchy and cooked through. Make sure that you catch them closely so that they don't burn.
