1poundof strawberries
1 ½cupsof granulated sugar
1lemon worth of juice
½teaspoonssalt
Instructions
Prep your fresh strawberries by removing the green tops.
Over medium low heat in a saucepan, add strawberries, sugar, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and salt. Stir regularly as it all heats up and the sugar starts to dissolve.
After the sugar has completely dissolved, use a potato masher to mash the strawberries. Increase the heat to bring the jam to a low boil. Once it achieves a low boil, reduce the heat again to low and let the mixture summer until it reaches your desired thickness.
Once it has reached your desired thickness, remove the sauce pan from the heat and let it cool. Transfer jam to jars and store.
