Instructions
Gather all of your ingredients together and prepare or measure and ready to start. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Next up, you will need to prepare the donut pan. You can do this by spraying it with baking spray.
In a medium mixing bowl add the sugar, salt, melted butter, milk and vanilla and almond extracts. Give all of the ingredients a stir to make sure they are combined.
Next, add the baking soda, powder and flour. Whisk everything together to make sure it is combined and you have a light and fluffy mixture.
In a separate bowl, add the vanilla and 1 to 2 tablespoons of dairy-free milk. You will need to use your judgment based on how thick the frosting is. Set aside until ready to use.
Take a piping bag and use a butter knife with a drop of any color of food dye to make a line vertically from the tip of the bag to the open end of the bag.
Repeat around in a circle for the remaining food dye colors.
Pour the donut mixture into a piping bag.
Snip the end of the bag and fill the prepared donut pan with some mixture. You will want to fill each donut mold ¾ full.
Place in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until you notice the donuts are just starting to turn a little brown and golden.
While the donuts are in the oven, prepare a baking sheet with a layer of parchment paper
Once ready, remove the donuts and then let them cool for five minutes.
Take your vanilla glaze and drizzle over the donuts then sprinkle with the extra rainbow sprinkles.
