¼cGF pie filling of your choice (cherry, apple, peach)
Instructions
Butter a slice of bread and place butter side down into a mountain pie maker.
Add the pie filling to the center of the bread.
Then butter another slice of bread and place it butter side up over the pie filling.
Assemble the mountain pie maker and place over the campfire. Toast both sides 4-5 minutes depending on campfire placement. Watch over carefully as pies can burn quickly.
Once mountain pie is toasted carefully remove from the maker by flipping onto a plate. Allow pie to cool for 5 minutes as it will be very hot.
Repeat this process for more pies. One 21 ounce pie filling can makes 8 pies.
